I bought the ps3 for the exclusives i.e. "the last of us" and also to be able to resell the games i bought rather than keep them as paper weights.

My questions are what games should i try;
So far i will be buying Gt5, xcom, tombraider. Naturally i will eventually be getting Gt6, GTA, Unchartered series when the price drops.

Keyboard/mouse setup for PS3?
Just read a thread below mine talking about the XIM, is that the best, would it be compatible with the ps4 and can that work with any game?

Steering wheel worth while? If so any recommendations?

P.S
I like FPS games but if there are only certain games that support keyboard/mouse play id rather do without

I think the last game i bothered playing was fall out and before that it was even longer without a game so there are plenty of ps3 games i can buy for pennies since they would be new to me so i don't think i will be going for a ps+.

What did sony do to Gt5 to make it crap, how can they nerf something for single player?

It's not so much that the single player is worse - it's just that GT6 could be considered to be marginally better, so if you want one of them, that'd be the one to go for.

Personally I disagree, I think GT5 is the better game in many ways - GT6 has an annoying catch-up mode on the AI, and while the physics are better than GT5, they're not so much better that it makes up for it.

Also read that multiplayer servers have/due to close the servers for gt5 but i got it for £4.50 postage included which is 10-20 quid cheaper for a marginally worse off game i can live with, thanks.

Any recommendations of keyboard/mouse combo i could invest in or is XIM4 as good as it gets?

GT6 is essentially an optimied GT5, so IMO jump straight to that, despite the higher price. The improved loading and navigation times alone are worth it; they drove me nuts in GT5. But GT5 is still a good experience... if you're patient. :-)

I'm a fairly hardcore PC sim racer at heart, but with an FFB wheel (I used a G25 on my PS3) I find GT5/6 to be very satisfying to drive, overall, especially at the Nordschleife. The FFB is surprisingly good and very immersive in the more "exciting" cars.

I'm much less impressed with a controller, but then I'm not a natural controller user anyway. The effects are pretty good, it's just a shame to waste such a good 'sim' that way. A Logitech DGFT ought to do the job if you can get one cheap. My G25 lives temporarily on a cheap workmate thing I got from ASDA for £8. Tuck your feet in the middle and you're in business; works far better than I expected when I first tried it. Just remember not to drag your feet out too quickly if you rage-quit. :-)

However I envy you playing The Last of Us for the first time far more. Great experience. Not perfect, in gameplay terms, but overall as close to perfect as gaming gets IMO.

So if I bought ps plus 12 months (intended for my ps3) could I use the same account on a ps4 and get ps plus on that aswell without paying extra?

Yes you get free games for the PS3 ,PS4 and PS vita with only a single account .......;)

The amount of quality gaming you get from that 12 months' subscription is incredible value, as well. There's easily enough to keep the average person completely occupied for the year, or force a serious gamer to really struggle to allocate their game time between games.
