Looks good but sounds crap on my telly. I was wondering about buying some speakers for it, but not sure what would be compatible. Nothing too fancy and stereo would be good enough. Any suggestions as to what I need?

What sort of budget do you have? A soundbar is a good option, easy to connect and you can get relatively good ones for £100 or so.

Hey man

A idea of what you would like to pay to remedy this would be great info as it would help us to provide the best quality/performance ect for the price.

Does sound like a soundbar would be best for you

Edit : TheVoice beat me to it, ignore my post :)

If you take a look around you will find the Yamaha YAS152 for £130 ( its worth about £200 ) quite highly rated and does have " virtual surround " even though you said surround isnt a priority still nice to have

Yamaha is a good one, I doubt you'll beat that for £130. Then it's just a simple optical cable connection from your TV to the soundbar.

could also use bluetooth with that bar but as you mentioned id recommend a optical cable anyway due to the chance of disturbance :D but it's just something the OP may want to consider
