Yeah some really good ones, I mainly play on the pro team servers, because I hate the noobish nade spam servers, so I play on no nade servers such as potencial server. Cruelsworld was a good server but the nade spam drove me nuts. Like all your team dieing and only 1 or 2 people left on each team, everyone else dies from the nade spam at the start of the round. I never use nades even when I do play on a nade server, only time I would ever use it would be to flush someone out of a building or to get a Sniper on a top floor, other then that im all guns.

Cheers guys, yea ill find a non nade server lol otherwise it will annoy me, so are nades online the equilivlent of the goons who use auto sniper all the time on CSS lol

nah not realy. but in css if you have armor and stand on a nade you wont die in cod2 you will and they chuck them from there spawn in cod2 and land next to you and you die

Doesont happen very often to me though.

what style of gameplay is cod2? rush n gun? or long-distance slow-paced shooting at each other? thinking about this or DOD:S or CS:S hrmm

Not a bad game at all although I can't remember much about now.. I remember trying to repair the broken coms cable but that about it..

Online ain't bad either.. upgraded from the COD 1

I think it adapts to how you want to play but not sure yet, i found if i stood back n shoot take time so does the team and if i went all out they followed aswell :p

has to be CSS ;)

but cod2 does have a full single player story.

sorry i meant the MP aspect. Ive played CS:S its ok i guess. Does cod2 have rounds? reinforcements? objectives? realism factor? can people prone? whats the netcode like? nice mp maps? what size? averaging 16 , 18 or 20 player maps?

Multiplayer rocks. I've only played SP for a few mins, cause the MP is so good.

To answer your questions...

Does cod2 have rounds? Yep, with standard different gametypes, CTF, DM, TDM, Behind Enemy Lines, etc...
reinforcements? Not that I'm aware of.
objectives? Yeah, depending upon the gametype - obviously DM and TDM objectives are to kill as many people as possible.
realism factor? Wouldn't know, never been in a war, but I find it less arcade-like than, say, Medal of Honour.
can people prone? Yep, and you can place tripwires when you're proned. ;)
whats the netcode like? Sorry, mate, not sure what you mean by netcode :dunce:
nice mp maps? Maps are great... really varied, some small ones, some big ones. The old favourite, Carenten, is still there, although it looks nicer than ever.
what size? averaging 16 , 18 or 20 player maps? yeah, usually either 16 or 32, but I've played on 64 player maps, but that just gets far too hectic to be enjoyable.

HTH

cool thx :) so when you die does that mean you are out for the entire round a la cs ? or do you respawn at your base or smt?

does it have more than one hitbox: can you shoot legs, head etc for different/better damage?

i mention netcode because i remember in HL/CS it is verrrry tweakable to the extent that you could tweak your settings using things like different interp values (your precise location on screen that your enemy sees isnt exact same as on your screen or smt like that) and altering client rates and other stuff. I mean are default client connection settings hard-coded or are they fully customisable (ie exploitable). Generally what are the complaints players talk about?

might get it if its on budget somewhere.

Cs:S is alright but i dont like waiting after dying each round, much prefer respawning so you get right back in the fight :D
