Just bought Crysis Warhead. A question.

Hi guys. I just bought this game and It looks great fun. but its default settings look pretty poop to me!

I changed it to Gamer settings and it was pretty jerky and had a really annoying blur effect every time i moved my head..

then i tried enthusiast... that looked like my pc was gonna explode. about 2fps or something.

What should I be increasing/decreasing to make it run better.

I did a search for settings and the ones ive seen on the forum seem to be designed around the newer range of graphics cards.

My 8800gts is crapping its pants

You can change the settings seperately, try Gamer then turn motion blur to none.

Is your 8800GTS standard or overclocked.
Im running warhead fine on my 8800GTS at gamer settings, it is overclocked though.
Running at 1650x1050 aswell.

Nah mate its standard. And its also one of the old school 320mb variety

set all to gamer, then lower shadows, textures and motion blur to the next setting down.

Just turn the motion blur off it looks god awful outside of racing games and hits performance on Crysis.

What OS are you using?

I just upgraded from 2Gb to 4Gb of ram on Vista 64 and the performance increase was huge! Totally playable now using a config that Knives posted and it looks and plays amazingly! Totally worth it for about £23.
