Just bought IL2 Complete Edition

I've recently purchased IL2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles + Ace Expasion Pack + Pacific Fighters (all in one) after finding out that I've lost one of my CFS3 disks (it's not installed on my pc anymore).
It's due to arrive in a few days and I was wondering if there any recommendations for patches etc I should download or general info about the game I should know. I've heard that IL2 is meant to be a fair bit better than CFS3, which I never thought was that bad, so I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl.

Download all the official patches from the official website http://www.pacific-fighters.com/en/updates.php

and install them in order.. it is important you install all of them, in the correct order :)

I'd recommend staying away from dogfight servers, full of tards and sploiters - go and register at one of the many online wars available and have some _real_ simulation fun :)

I'll check when it's installed to see which version it is.

Dj_Jestar, what sort of realism settings does your sqn normaly use/play with? Are you forced to manually control propeller pitch and supercharger setings?

Ta for the info. I'll probably try and get the hang of single player before I jump into mp :)
 
We fly as real as it can get :) usually we leave Speed bar on though, as some of the craft don't have speedo's and/or compass :)
