Just bought my first Apple

I was in the Trafford Centre's Apple Store when I first read this thread this morning. I've been running beige boxes and self-built rigs using Windows and Linux for donkey's years, but I have to admit I'm in love with Macs after today. :o

The IPA screens on the iMac are gorgeous, OS X took me less than 5 minutes to work out with no help at all, and it's just brilliant. :D I installed Unison (NNTP NZB client) in seconds, uninstalled it even faster (after a play around) and everything is just "so".

The previews when you hit space were great, and I've walked out determined to save for one of my own. My 22" 1080P LG Flatron (£200), E8600, 4GB OCZ HPC machine just seems weak in comparison. Coming soon: my own spec me a Mac thread. :D

OP, enjoy your purchase. I was playing on that exact machine myself. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. :)

If you don't like the mouse... send it to me!

I can't, it's my wifes! Actually the mouse is good but I tend to move it when I'm trying to use gestures. The touchpad on the MB/MBP is amazing though and has even more gestures than the mouse :)
