Hi guys, I’ve just bought this setup:

Phanteks evolv x case
Intel core i9-9900k 3.6ghz
Corsair vengeance Rgb pro 16gb drr4 3200mhz
Samsung 970 evo plus 500gb m.2
Seagate 3tb barracuda
Gigabyte GeForce Rex 2080 ti 11gb..

my question is this, the WiFi card I bought is the ADDON Wireless 11AC Dual Band 1750mbps adaptor. The pc works fine and it’s very fast however my network is far slower than the old pc I’ve replaced. Is this my fault for picking the network card that I have or am I missing something?

thanks, Liam.

It’s always been fine, not great but not bad, at the moment I’m struggling to download good chrome on the new pc.. usually this would take seconds

Sorry - I phrased that poorly. What are the othe components in your wireless network and what settings are in your new PC for the Wireless card?

I’m not very experienced with this so I’m not entirely sure how to reply. Basically I swapped from my old pc to this new on today and WiFi is horrendous, my old network card was a very cheap me and this is the first time running the new pc, I could skype you if you need better explanation? Your help s very much appreciated

I think if you want more structured help then OcUK have that - contact them for support.

The Addon card itself uses Realtek’s 4x4 chipset so it should work as well as any other Realtek card so it’s likely a configuration or driver issue.

ADDON Wireless 11AC Dual Band 1750mbps looks like a pretty decent WiFi card.

What is the speed difference from the old card? and was that a Wifi card or a cabled Ethernet adaptor?
