Hi Everyone

I just bough a opteron 144 and here is the stepping CAB2E 0546FPDW.

What do you think this chip will do on my Asus A8N-E ?

1Ghz? Seriously though, no one can tell you what this chip can do. It depends on your hardware configuration/quality the chip itself and your knowledge. Lots of people had theirs around 2.8 lots of others couldnt get near that and some went higher. Clock it and tell us how far it will clock ;)

Its an opteron, and they generally clock very well, I wouldn't be suprised if it did 2.8 Ghz

Yes, as i said no one can tell him what it can do....

How do you know its gonna do 2.8? He might have duff ram and a nasty mobo :D I pointed out that most were getting around 2.8 with them if you read my post ;)

I had one myself that ran 2.9 day in day out. But whats the point in me telling him his will do the same when its very well possible it will be better or worse?
 
My bad sorry, i wasn't reading properly.


That mobo isn't a bad clocker, and he can run his ram on a divider :p
