well i don't know how eve works since i never played
but when it is the same in other MMO's then yes it is illegal because someone is making money by selling virtual things which they don't own unless it is a specified server like you have in eq2 where you sell virtual goods for money.
but i don't think your friend will get banned for it unless he does it in a big scale![]()
Hes quiting anyway, im worried incase i did, he earned it by working a lot and doesnt want to just hand it away or let it rot in his account and nobody useing it. So i bought it of him for £5 in person
So if he sent me 250m isk in 1 big sum, eve wont get suspicious?
He's quitting anyway and still charged you £5 for it?
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I just remembered, I've got a 90 day (or 60, can't remember) time code I bought but never used. Can I sell it on here (members market?)

because you can't sell virtual goods/game codes in MMCant see why not![]()
They don't ban you anyway, they just take the cash out of your account putting you in the red normally and thus making you unable to do anything. You can't sell because you have negative cash, you can't do anything unless someone bails you out.
*Looks at his account which is 2 billion in the red*
Sigh, I was silly!
Mission rewards/bounties, lots of them. A mate gifted me quite a decent sum when I started out to get skill books, etc. and never had a problem.
I must have over 100b isk now, I wish OCuk would take isk, as I want a new PC
I regularly move 1-2b around accounts, although I do know people that got banned moving 10b+
