Pasted basically from other thread.

Just bought Sony wh xm4
Hope they aren't a dissapointment

Reasons.
Want to be able to take meetings away from deak
My beloved denon d2000s have cut out in one ear (want to fix at some point)
Iems now irritate my ears.

I'm aware these headphones do not play nice with windows PCs. Something about Bluetooth being ridiculous on windows PCs where you can't take a call and have high fidelity sound.

Anyone know what pain I'm going to feel using them on pc?

Yeah, I have these as well. All bluetooth headphones with a mic show up as two devices - headset and headphones, and only one can be in use at a time. Headset is the low fidelity version with a mic.
I think this is an issue with bluetooth in general, doesn't matter what you are connecting to.

The sound quality in headset mode is considerably worse.
It's not all bad though, windows does auto switch, so the headset will only be selected if some software is trying to use the mic, and it should switch back to headphones when the mic usage stops, so it's not too bad.

It's just a pain that you can't really use them for in game chat or discord, because the game audio is awful then. Probably not too much of an issue if you just want to lisen to music in between calls, it just takes a few seconds to switch back after the mic stops being used.

Really useful thanks.
Yes these will be used for the odd call (rarely) and music when not in call. I'm not worried about in call quality being an issue.

Your post is more useful than all my Internet searching. I was under the impression switching modes was not automatic!

Why is Bluetooth on pc so bad? :/

I believe this has multipoint so shouldn't be an issue with phone. Or switching between phone and pc for when I'm out and about

These arrived today.

Have to say they live up to expectations on phone.

Sound is great. It isn't as good as my d2000 (which need repair) but those are amazing cans and have an amp attached so unfair really to compare.

The only issue I had to move from "U" shape equaliser curve (my usual) to a basic "/" shape.
Bass distorts a bit too quickly with any bass boost.

Best bit of these is the features.
I've never had noise cancelling before and I'm blown away by it.
Turning it off when I talk.. Great.
360 sound on demo sounded amazing. But I'm not paying for it. My music tastes are too niche.
Incredibly comfortable.

Paid 190 from CEX for. Grade B.
2 year warranty.
They are. Absolutely perfect. Boxed, all. Contents. No idea why they are B and not A grade!
