Just wondering has anyone else done this? I have noticed a considerable different in quality especially at high volumes :)

Do you think 9.99 a month is a fair price?

hmm 9.99 depends how much you use it, personally i wouldn't because I useually listen to the same song over and over :P

But if you like all different music then its great, and saving your playlists is handy.

We had a one day pass for my dad's party and it was great, hooked it up to the sound system and people could play the songs that they wished. So i would say depends what for and how often it is used but in some cases it would certainly be worth the 9.99 .

:)

Yeah I mean if you put the price of tracks to by... 79p? or something. Quickly have made that up tonight.

As for music taste, I like anything from alternative rock / RnB & Hip Hop / Classical / New Age / Industrial metal / trance / dance /chillout so I think I'm pretty well catered for!

£120 a year is too much, I don't spend that much on music. £4 a month, £48 a year I would pay though.

i don't know why i would...

it does everything already. i can search for everything i want, listen to everything i want, and the only thing bad is the odd advert every now and then.

your saying the quality is better? i didn't know that, they should advertise that!

id be happy to pay 5 a month.

I've been using spotify for a while now and it's now my main music player, it works great in ubuntu. Although I use the free service I don't mind the adverts, I get one maybe every hour or so.

In terms of variety, I listen to pretty much all types of music but £9.99 is too much. £4-£6 and now we're talking!

I've never bought the premium, but the one day pass would be great for a party!

Only artist that I've never been able to find is the Beatles, but their **** when it comes to innovating anyway, are they even on iTunes yet??

I would never spend for Spotify. It defies the point of using it for me.

One thing you might find interesting though. Spotify it soon to release a version of itself for the iPhone via the app store. But its only available to premium subscribers. So if you have an iphone, you now have pretty much unlimited access to almost any music you want on the go.

Hate they way they only make it for premium users :(

Also the iphone app will have a offline playlists mode which is interesting!

Take a look:

And Android.

For now spotify premium is not worth it in the slightest, if you want to listen to a wider range of music without ads use grooveshark. Maybe if you're a total audiophile I guess, but personally I don't think I can really tell the difference between the ogg bitrates. One question though, does Spotify premium stop your PC being used as a P2P hub for other users?

Maybe when they release the mobile app it might be worth it.

I consider £10 a month to expensive for me as I am not really into music all that much. However the iphone app may yet tempt me to part with my cash once its released.

They are rumored to be making a version for the Android OS too - I am waiting for this tbh :p

You can already get Droidify and unofficial Spotify client, works exactly the same as the official client I believe. You need to have a Spotify premium account but the app is free.:)

It just depends on how much you use it. I don't listen enough music to justify £120 a year even though I still find it a little bit steep.
