I wouldn't worry about the board if I was you. Seems to be Corsair and Gskill in that thread (who the hell buys Dominator ram anyway, its insane stuff). It should love the geil, great mem.

Save the money, there's nothing else you need. Don't bother with another Raptor tbh, not worth it. You've spent enough money already! :D

Awesome system

hehe wasn't my system though ...

i do get the same problem though (on my amd system)

Matty's (who has the same problem) spec:

x6800
EVGA 680i
BFG 8800gtx
2 x raptors
2gb of some corsair ram

i think? :P

The problem is that the boxes go all foggy its weird.. but it will be sorted soon :P

Whats the problem with the ds4 and if you got a second chance what would you get ?

anything but the gigabyte... i had 4 gigs of corsair xms2 6400 ram (4x 1gb). all four sticks were identical. the mobo will only post with two specific sticks, however the other two are not faulty and are working in my mates rig... it won't overclock to more than 3ghz and stay stable no mater whet settings i change in the bios (i'm not a noob!)... i can't sli my 8800GTX propprly as the second PCI-E port is only 4x (could be 8x i forget).... should i go on?!? :D

edit... i only have one 8800 but i might want two eventually! :p

Seeing as you've now got two super-fly raptors, what i'd recommend is this:

Raid the two raptors in RAID0 - your motherboard will have the relevant options available for this on boot settings I would imagine. Use the resulting drive for Windows and your apps. I'd recommend keeping anything that you don't want to lose on the maxtor so, if you have to re-install Windows, you won't have to worry about getting all your mp3s, pictures, porn ;) etc off the RAID drives when you are forced to re-install.

Enjoy!

Oh and I had my heart set on a ds4. Did the newer bios updates solve any of the problems, might have to go with asus  too many options

CANNOT COMPUTE !!!
