Microsoft will keep this low key as long as possible so that they can do their best to continue selling the existing 360 stock...

THAT'S WHY its not plastered all over their website...

Late April.... official source at Microsoft has told this to the leading games magazine.

I thought Microsoft made an actual statement? Oh no now it's a source from within the company... it might as well all just be made up crap as usual. Every single "Report" of this I've seen is cross referenced to another, none actually saying exactly where it's coming from or quoting directly.

As for them not wanting to show it off, bull****, they would've advertised it like CRAZY as a PS3 competitor in the last couple of weeks to try to flatten the PS3 launch completely.

If that was the case, then why all the secrecy? and why is it coming out so quickly.. Within 4weeks. If you ask me, they've done a bloody good job at keeping the curtains closed over this one. I was expecting XMAS. Listen say what you like, but when a leading games magazine puts their entire rep on the line with a launch date for a major player in the console market, I as many will take their word for it and not yours. Believe what you like, we are not taking this from silly little sites.. I as a subscriber get my mag a couple of days earlier than usual.. Give it a day or two and this will be like a wave on all the major gaming sites.. Then Microsoft will announce it.. and guess what this announcement will come only days after the Euro Sony hardcore have gone out and purchased a PS3... Microsoft have timed this perfectly.

Can't sayI understand the logic in that. Microsoft would be far better off advertising a PS3 competitor and preventing a large quantity of PS3 sales rather than saying "Oh crap, yeah you've all bought PS3's now so you're not really going to buy ours

Yep, read two posts above. April edition of some american magazine.

I have no doubt that there's a different version coming, I just refuse to believe it before I hear it from Microsoft.

i think you'll enjoy it a lot, i've had mine coming close up to a 3-4 weeks now. Still going strong pretty much on all the time, not one crash at all. Then that's what i'd expect from a new console

There are still problems floating around, but the probability of every new console having a fault is basically not going to happen. Then again you have a years warranty and have the option of increasing to another 2 years so that should have you covered for as long as needed.

I'd also like to recommend GRAW2, it's got to be one of my favourite games on the 360 and the online play is brilliant albeit a little frustrating when it's 16 players every man for himself but overall it's great fun.

The 360 has sold abot 1 million units in the UK. The PS3 to date has sold about 170k and is now struggling. Accross Europe we're hearing tales of very poor sales (25% in France?) so it's safe to assume (optimistically) Sony sold say, 300k - 400k of the 500k - 700k units shipped.

The 360 sold all of the 300k it had for European launch and then proceeded to sell out for about 2/3 months.

Actually, can't believe I took the bait.

Go enjoy your console. It's great. No need for this kind of thing.

I think you made the right descision (for now).

I thought Test Drive Unlimited was superb. I played a bit of top spin 2 but haven't tried VT3 yet so you'll have to know how it is. I just finished GoW again on Insane and really enjoyed it. Forget the hype this really is superb.

I could name at least 20 games worth owning, unlike the PS3 (which is still decent though)
