Just got my self a DS lite waiting for the new Pokemon game.. Has anyone brought the new pokemon off ebay?

are they the real deal if so whats it like?

The new Pokemon game is mint, and were I not still in the thrall of playing it, I might be tempted to call it the best of the series. The online trading and battling systems are ace, and the game is full of stuff to do and find single-player too.

Still haven't sorted out a decent battle team yet though, erk.

Oh, and I'd recommend you get Advance Wars too. Bar Pokemon, it's my favourite DS game, and has tons of depth.

This man has taste. There are loads of great games but I find pokemon very similar to the past games. If you've not played them then it's a must buy.

you made a bloody good point though, when I have child when I'm older I am actually going to slap it round the face if it makes this mistake.

Pokemon is a winning formula, and apparently the new ones do just that; not much graphically has been added though which you might have wanted but fun to play.

Oh no doubt. The single-player is once again horribly derivative, but I just think the addition of online play makes it mint by itself. Proper battling is so much better than the level grinding main game, and naturally more interesting against human opponents.

I never really gave it a go online after I found out about the hackers.

It's all friends codes though. Hackers in battling are immediately obvious, and can be quickly deleted/ignored. Since you only battle people you know, there's never really any danger of facing cheaters.

The trading station is the only place you need to worry about stuff like that, and really, you're not likely to see much there either, as hackers are hardly going to bother trying to trade for stuff. As long as you stay away from legendaries it's all good.

What have the Haxzors been upto then?
They can attain and modify any pokemon in various ways.

To be honest I'd rather not battle people on my friends list only. I'd like to play randoms too.

Count yourself lucky, I mentioned a competitor, then when I went back to edit it out, i got "this post does not exist" and I was banned, First offence as far as I can remember aswell, whereas most times the mods at least have the sense to give a warning and edit it out themselves :(
