Just build a new pc...starts but nothing on screen

Hey, build a cheap pc for my brother costs me just over £200. Built many pcs in the passed but this sucker just wont post and I cant get any signel on my monitor or TV, both DVI. As all parts are second hand I reset the bios but still nout, tried one stick of ram in each slot checked all wires and even tried the GFX in the other PCI-E slot.

Any ideas?

Do you have another graphics card with which you can test? Does it beep to indicate a successful POST when you don't have a graphics card installed at all?

If not the mobo might have moved on to the PCB afterlife.

You should also test the RAM as best you can and make another check to be sure all cables are properly inserted.

Bros old pc has a 6600GT I can try tomorrow when hes not using it, no beeps at all, saying that the case speaker isnt plugged in...should i try it just to see? I've not tried without the GFX.
