Hi Guys,

I have just finished building my DFI Lanparty 680i system with q6600. I managed to get the system to boot, then about 15 seconds later it powered off. Now, when i turn it on it doesnt give me any video. I have tried 2 different video cards, different memory / psu etc

Only thing i haven't tried is a new CPU as i dont have a spare quad core!

Its unlikely imo that the CPU has fried for no apparent reason (heatsink was on fine, so was northbridge heatsink and CPUS tend to be quite resilient

What is strange is the DFI debug/ information LEDS on the board no longer seem to give any information or even light up

I am so gutted the machine isn't working, can anyone give me some advice before i send the CPU and MB back on RMA?

thanks

Barry

Spoke to DFI, they advised that the Enermax Galaxy is not very good for a 'performance' motherboard and i should have bought OCZ !!

Not quite sure i believe that, it is pretty much meant to be the best PSU in the world!

Ill try the board outside the case later on and see if its a shorting issue

The Enermax isn't good for "performance" mainboards. I agree, that is a load of rubbish, companies like Vadim always use Enermax 1000W Galaxy PSU's. If anything, the OCZ would be a far more "unreliable" power source.
