I have been dealing with ITassured for the last 2 months with regards to my pc replacement and it has been a painfull 2months.

Initialy they claim to get your new pc out to you within 4-5 days of ordering it from dell.
Great I was due This:

Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo E6700 (2.66GHz, 4MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB)
512MB nVidia® GeForceTM 7900GTX graphics card
4 GB2 of NEW Dual channel DDR2-667MHz SDRAM

But what did I get this morning after 2 months of no callbacks and being lied to. yup not what was orderd.

I got a old dell 9150 with a pentium D 3ghz
2GB DDR2
Geforce 7300le LOL

So as you can see ever so slightly diffrent specs. she at first tried to tell me that no one said I would be due a 9200 with those specs but the 9150.
After sending her the confirmation emails and orders she is now going to look into it and order me my proper pc. well done someone good at there job.

So this is realy just a warning to anyone who uses halifax insurance if your pc or tv breaks these guys are the ones who deal with it, you in for a long slow process and even the halifax are offering me compensation etc.

On what basis is your insurance? New for old, or like for like?

My Current pc was being replaced.

it was athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+
Asus M2N-SLi Deluxe
4GB DDR2 corsair 6400 = 2x 2gb
my Nvidia 7900gt

was recently built but due to an accident was wrecked, so wasnt exactly chuffed i was getting a dell but its a good spec so didnt mind.
but to replace it with what they have I see as shocking.
as I said just a warning to anyone with halifax insurance.

insurance is new for old.

When I had a Pc replaced under insurance I put it through as individual items. Keeps it under the thousand pound individual item limit and got me a loads better PC, I owuld be most miffed if they tried to flog me off with a dell of any spec!
