Iv installed this but not had a chance to play yet, Its my last day at work today so will give this a good bash tomorrow

Whats the best control method for this K/M or a 360 pad?
I've played it a few times, my overall experience is that it could be amazing, but doesn't tend to be.
So maybe it's just the servers i've played on but the general gist seems to be:
They have races and derbys you can join, 2-3 people join and often quit early.
There isn't enough people on the servers one or two servers with 100 people, others with 9.
Theres NO npcs?!? that means no cars anywhere apart from parked in certain areas
Everyone seems to want to kill you so its one big free for all, without exactly good aiming.
You can /tp about on most servers, good fun i like that.
Basically it comes down to a free for all where people spawn airships, don't die easily maybe because of lag but they flip about a bit.
Its like GTA but without cars everywhere and less precise shooting. (although ive never played a gta multiplayer game, i'd imagine it does it better).
Fun and worth a try, but you won't sink hundreds of hours into it is my general opinion.
P.S i've just been pugging it, if i had friends dedicated to doing stupid stuff on it, it could well be good fun.

Press B and you then have a option to spawn cars, boats, planes, weapons etc.
no support for 360 only K/M
What? Just Cause 2 is completely supported for 360 controller. You just can't type but that isn't really a problem if you want to use 360 pad.
I find K/M better for aiming grappling hook a bit faster and such but I have played with controller quite a few times before.

Yeah I have no issues using a wired 360 controller.
Sunk a few hours into the larger servers (One had 1400 player at one point!) and it is pretty insane with all the attack helicopters and people hijacking everywhere.
A few lag issues, like sometimes being able to shoot people with out any issues, other times I'm shooting several sniper rounds while they stay still, yet nothing!
I love the boost feature most servers seem to have, doing 700km/h in a crappy boat that would normally max out at 60.
Overall it's fun, but there is no long-term playability. Maybe if there was some type of RP server where you had jobs and other tasks to do in which you earn money for permanent weapons and vehicles. At least then you would have something to do other than trying to waste god knows how many rounds into someone who probably has a ping of 1000+.

Played for a bit earlier, but the game kept crashing out. Was racing around in cars with choppers trying to shoot me. lol

i'l agree with this a bit atm, but give the server admins and modders some time to come up with some interesting scripts/ideas
id like to see something team based, maybe 24v24 with various objectives, it would need a LOT of work on the guns/aiming side of things though :/

Have any of the servers added some proper stuff to do yet, or is it still just mess about with no objective? The lack of game modes got very old very quickly the last couple of times i played
building is fairly easy and its just down to the imagination. whoever finds my build
