I recently bought Just Cause and Prey for the 360 and thought I'd share my thoughts on them.

I found Prey to be OK. Incredibly linear, not at all taxing or frustrating and impossible to fail at on normal hardness.
The storyline was pretty decent, the mavity walkways and the whole turn the world upside down thing was also good. The ship was good. I liked it but it was definitely not challenging, it was more like an interactive movie.

I am still playing Just Cause. It is very open ended but not difficult. I like the music, I like the way the music changes when the politzia are after you. I like the scenery but it is not as good as Oblivion in that regard.
I like the mexican style accents of the residents. Hey Senor.......
I like driving around on my virtually indestructible dirt bike doing huge jumps over craters and things. I like the base jumping, skydiving, jumping from car to car etc. But despite all these things it is not a difficult game, indeed it is not challenging at all. It is pretty good fun though. A couple of things I don't like about it that annoy me:
It is buggy. A few times it has just frozen on me on both Xboxes.
I don't like having to go to a safe house to save the game. I know it is no more complex than calling for an extraction, jumping out of a chopper and walking to the satellite thing but I'd rather just hit "save".
A lot of the side missions are very repetitive. Drive there and kill someone then come back here. Drive there and collect something then come back here.
I do like walking into the road pulling out a gun and carjacking random people though then killing the cops who come after me.

On my condemned-0-meter scoring system where the feeling of being involved in the game is rated they both score a 6 out of 10.

On my COD-howbloodyhard-0-meter they both get a 5 out of 10.

On my all-out-fun-0-meter they probably both get a 6.

On my how-long-is-this-game-0blivion-0-meter Prey gets a 5 and Just cause gets an 8.

All in neither really set my world on fire but both are pretty good in their own way. Just cause is not as good as "GUN" though.
