well, i don't know why i missed the game when it first came out or in the time since then, but i've now got the game and it's one of the best i've played and is easily the best sandbox game i've played on any gen console.
like most sandbox games, some challenges can and do feel a bit same'E and the sound lets it down in places (swimming sound for 1). but the stunning vistas and exploration make up for most of it's faults.
you can drive/fly all vehicles in the game

hats off to the programmers for allowing so many vehicle types in the game and i find myself time and again high up in the clouds just hovering and looking around at the amazing views.
very much looking forward to No2 now.
p.s.
night time and a clear sky, look up to the stars and see all the wild life flying about, brilliant.
standing on the top of a mountain i could hear a chopper approaching from the south (5.1 sound in this game is brilliant at times), i looked over the edge at it, it was a few hundred feet below, so i jumped off the mountain and caught hold of the chopper. great.
the rain effect looks and sounds fantastic and the sound as you walk through the jungle (wildlife) is as good as it gets.
hats off to the programmers of this game, just a pity it's took me two years to play it. much looking forward to JC2 now.
