Spooky- last night I picked it up after about 6 months of no play, and finished it too. I liked the ending. Then I went back and played a load of jungly bits. Genius game, love it. Runs like a dream on my PC too (not cutting edge).

I liked it too, I'm not sure why so many people didn't. Although I do agree with the majority that the second half of the game is worse than the first.

im trying to finish it, ive got the Natural Mod installed, makes the experience so much more enjoyable!

Agreed, i thought it was a terrible place to end the game, but the ending was really the most cinematic thing i've seen done using ingame graphics. The gameplay died at the alien part for me though - doesn't mean i'm not looking forward to Warhead, not long now

on the ship at the end-not the last boss fight, which I thought was a bit average, but when you have all of the aliens flying at you it feels really epic.

That bit and the jungle bits of the game were great. The rest of it were merely OK.

The bit where strickland dies and the scene where your VTOL is attacked in the air is my favorite part I think, it's so cool.

The first bit is good, running round the jungle, when the aliens arrive the game goes downhill. Floating around in the space ship thingy is terrible

The alien core was pretty bad, if you took it as a horror game it wasn't too bad, bit wierd having such a change of pace.

Fighting the actual aliens was pretty decent in my opinion as you get serious Gauss Cannon ammo at that point and get to one shot them all

Borrowed the game from a friend and I've just got to the entrance to the mine - have to say I find the whole thing a bit repetitive after Far Cry, not as impressive.
It can only get better...

Couldn't stand the mutants in Far Cry, thought the alien sections (including the core) were really quite good in Crysis. Don't really understand the hate. I just wish the alien sections were less linear and that the aliens were more devastating.

The ending was probably one of the worst I've ever seen in a video game, I have no time for massive cliffhangers (I found it in my heart to forgive HL2 though). Everything up untill that point was a blast.

Try it on delta, it's far better. You can't just shoot everything from the hummer.

I thought it was ok. Nice game, graphics and sounds were pretty good. The bit that ruined it was the 3-d flying. Totally long winded and annoying.
