What a stunning game! I'm a little disapointed as to how easy the final boss was though. But apart from that the game was near perfect. I thought that the battle with Krauser was joint hardest with the big plant thing with teeth. :p I just can't wait for the next resident evil game now. Hopefully it will not be too different from RES 4.

The game was fantastic but it just wasn't resident evil. It would make a stunning brand on it's own but it's not what the resident evil games are about.

I agree its a great game, one of the best in the series......cant wait for number 5 on the 360.................

I would have to agree...

**SPOILER**

The only bits that scared me were when I saw the three dogs for the first time in the grave yard after having just defeated El Gigante for the first time. Me and my mate just saw a set of lights (which turned out to be dog eyes and completely saht ourselves :p ). The other bit that scared me was when you play as Ashley and you have to go down into the dark room, solve a puzzle and then the iron statues come alive and try to kill you..

**/SPOILER**

Anyway, apart from those two times it didn't scared me anywhere near as much as Resident Evil 2. Perhaps this is because I am slightly older now. But to be honest I actually preferred this game far more than any other Resident Evil game I have played.

Whappers

I love zombies as much as the next guy (but not in that way) and they were getting old news in the Resident Evil franchise.
I think that going in a different direction was the best thing to do.
I'm not saying that game would have been rubbish if it did have zombies, but it felt a little fresher for not having hoardes of the undead banging at your door :)

On a side note, I can't stand it when they explain zombies as some kind of virus that brings the dead back to life. Cheap Hollywood bobbar.
Its a hell of a lot spookier when the dead just DO come back from the grave and no one knows why. That's why the trilogy of the dead was soooo haunting (lets all forget about Land of the Dead shall we ?)

The game WAS about hoards of undead, that's why it was a different game. Rather than a couple of well placed zombies it just had a mass of people to gun down, it's main flaw IMO.

That's irrelevant and makes no difference to the arguement I was making.

i have it on the cube and completed it a while back and thought it was cracking, great direction to take it in. The zombies did get kinda boring, plus it isn't really linked with the RE story.

Looking forward to number 5 on the ps3

ok :p well 1 current generation, 1 next gen then :D

I hope the keep the same movement and control system, i thought it worked really well. Infact might play through again.

lol, just skipped tyhrough all the spoliers

jus started resi evil 4 on ps2 over weekend, good so far. never played a RE game before!!

the guy at the first village with a bag on his head and chainsaw did me big time!

I don't particularly like the game.

I always liked the way the camera worked etc in the previous games. I just couldn't get used to it in this version.

Might give it another go now though. To be fair I only played it up to the part where you go to what looks like a farmyard and you can shoot little blue things hanging from trees etc, so I haven't exactly given it a decent go yet. I was just a little put off from the initial experience.
