Just curious - TJ07

Some reviewers told me that ¤out of the box¤ this is better than TJ11 if wc.

Old tech? Yes and no. The chassis is "old" but what its capable isnt.

Ambassador Mollari, I would assume poeple mean the TJ07 is old tech for things like front panel USB 3 support but how many people need or have a use for it. Especially as motherboards are having more and more on the back these days. Everything else really is as good or better than newer cases in my opinon.

I agree though if you are moving it around to mates or lan event then it would be a PITA due to its size. If you don't move it often, or like me have it on a table with wheels, the size and weight really isn't that much a problem.

i agree, i dont understand why Lian Li or these older Silverstone cases are so "legendary", perhaps it is their nostalgia rather than their actual specs becuase it seems like they do not offer that many features considering their price

personally i think the most legendary case has to the the 800D, i wonder if that will grow into an old classic like these cases :)

Thanks for the comments guys - Im pretty sure it will be a TJ07 as try as I might, I just can't find anything I think looks as good apart from a TJ11
Before I decided that I should aim for a case that would be good for watercooling, I was looking at the P280, and was nearly tempted when the tech labs w/c version was announced, but it will be too small for a dual loop, so despite prefering a midi tower, it looks like it will have to be a full tower..
No usb3 front port will annoy me, but there will be 3rd party solutions for that, and there just isn't a case out there that looks as nice..

"The chassis is "old" but what its capable isnt." - quote of the thread for me...

I think the legendary comes from the builds/mods that people have managed with these cases - google tj07 watercooled - there are some amazing mods out there
The 800D IS a classic, but it is a lot newer than the tj07, so will take a while before it is legendary
I think that is the only bit holding me back now as I want a case that isn't a tj07, but with the looks and functionality of a tj07, so that when i post my build log, it doesn't become "Oh no, not another tj07 build" as I will hate that
So between now and boxing day, I will look around, see what cases are there and then make a choice - the only fly in the ointment is the Cosmos S v2 which isn't available until end of Dec, that 'might' be a possibility as at least it is different..

If you have the money to reach the cases potential as a watercooling setup its unbelievable. As an air cooled case (which mine is until christmas) it doesn't perform that well i would say.
I agree.
It is a stunning case, but not the most user friendly thing out of the box, especially for air cooling.
Modding is pretty much essential, and as a blank canvas it excels.
