i have a lappy and the graphics arnt the best and was wondering can they be upgraded ?

Depends on the notebook, if its a cheap notebook you can sometimes upgrade with other graphics from the same line of notebooks, some of the high end notebooks use graphics that come on "MXM" modules but they arent cheap.

You cant really upgrade laptops, apart from RAM and HD.

Yeah, RAM and an SSD might give you a nice upgrade, but ain't going to compensate for slow processor/graphics.
