hi all,

Wife was given Just dance 1 for xmas and having set it all up it seems to be only picking up at 50% of the moves. Tried adjusting sensor bar placement and distance from it but no joy.

Anyone any suggestions on how to improve it or is it just a case of accepting its a little pants!

That's the way it is I'm afraid, it's not your remotes. I didn't know this either until we got our copy, i.e. we found just waving the remote around tended to score better than actually trying to do the moves, and it didn't seem to credit us when we did do the moves either.

Apparently it's improved in Just Dance 2 (we got that for Christmas) but we haven't played that one yet so I can't say if we've noticed it being better.

It's a shame because it is a fun game but when it doesn't register what you're doing with any consistency you kind of feel like 'what's the point'.

It's just the way it is. How can it possibly be accurate? The Wii can't track your whole body so dance games will never be anything more than a gimmick.

Get a Kinect and Dance Central instead ;)

Yeah the kinect may be coming to us, space may be an issue though as I've heard you need around 8ft between you and the kinect for it to work properly. Not sure if its true, but if it is I may need to move some furniture around :)

Just Dance 2 is a lot better and seems very accurate as we were playing it at my mums house on Boxing day, before we played Just Dance 1.

You do need a lot of room for Kinect, I have 6ft and it's just enough. I don't see how Just Dance 2 can be any more accurate, at the end of the day it's just tracking the position of the wiimote and not your actual body movements.

JustDance 2 is a decent game if you like that kind of thing. Cant get my wife off it. sure it does not pick up full movement, but thats not the point of the game... Its about fun which this delivers.

Not sure, but having played that at my mums then JD 1 at home it is a lot more accurate.

6ft I can just about do, may have to try and borrow one from a friend and give it a try :D
