So i had tried eyefinity and thought it not worth the bother after trying some FPS games and saw how squat tey were and distorted. I picked up another 24" dell this weekend at a LAN i attended as it had been hit by something and was broken with some leaking LCD inside but i thought it would be perfect for long term eyefinity testing.

World of warcraft i tested before so i then tried Modern Warfare 2 same as with COD 4 and crysis it looked all squat and distorted. Then i tried dragon age origins and i was WOW !

heres a pic and a VID while ive got it setup im more than happy to test any games i have for anyone. My setup is a DELL 2407WFP via DVI a E248WFP via DVI and a 2408WFP via displayport.

Does anyone know how i upload stuff in higher quality to youtube ? it looks pretty pants at the moment?

To get HD you have to upload with more than a certain number of vertical pixels - I can't remember off hand what it is tho - but anything over 720p will deffinatly trigger it.

wouldnt mind seeing this with the monitors at less of an angle, wondering what its like completly straight across all monitors

Very nice, thanks for the vid. Good to see it in action.

Unfortunately it also highlights another problem with eyefinity, colour calibration of three monitors which is very evident in your video. I wonder if it's that obvious when in use though?

the monitors are unfortuneately not identical. the one on the left is a TN panel the two on the right S-PVA but the 2408 has a massive color difference over the 2407.

I wont be playing like this as i simply do not have enough eyes i play on jsut the central one. I like the extra desktop area as it is what i use at work and coming home to just one screen with so much less real estate feels wrong.

I will install Dirt i do have grid but not a fan :P and Dirt 2 is not out yet.

I tell you what mate, since you're a nice guy i'll take it off you for a tenner?

ive just done the Grid first race as i couldnt get DiRT to run would just crahs to desktop :P

just uploading it now. Im using a little sony camera too lol dont have a propper vid camera.

Not sure i see the point of increasing the fov if ur already behind and outside the car :p

Best way to tell is to check out reviews at 30" res as the pixel count is similar to 5040x1050.

Been doing that but I wondering if it does scale perfectly. Seems dropping some AA in most games should keep them playable on the 5870. Multimonitor gaming on a 5770 or lower seems a bad idea.

as you can see im not the man for driving games i do own a couple but im not great at them.

I will try and get eyefinity working properly with an FPS. I have found messing with the aspect ratio's improves this quite a bit.
