Awesome band!

I'm going through a crazy metal stage at the moment, over the past year I've become addicted to 80's Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and recently its been Anthrax.

The best thing about the band imo is the drumming, its just so dominant in their music.

Anyway, talk about Anthrax in here - I want to know how many Anthrax fans we have on the forums, and what your favourite songs are!

At the moment my fav song is Caught in a Mosh, followed closely by A.I.R

Any other bands you guys think I should try out?

Anthrax were always one of my fave bands then they kinda imploded with all the vocalist swapping, rumors abound of getting John Bush back in the band at the moment. Favourite tracks are Now it's dark and Among the living.
 
Other metal bands? Emperor.

I used to listen to Anthrax a fair bit but kind of lost interest now!

Anyway definitely give Emperor a whirl, good music, good lyrics, good vocals and a very unique sound.

Definitely some of the best instrumental music I've heard.



The ending of Inno a Satana (4:32) gives me goosebumps. :eek:

I saw them a couple of time years ago and they were very good and when they swapped around, it was quite funny as well, good band.
 
Cool, was reading about them earlier - and I've watched a few live DVD's now.

Alive 2 blew me away, and I really really prefer Joey Belladonna to any of the singers they have now.

Their tracks were so much better before they "remastered" them in 2004 :(

They were one of the highlights of Sonisphere for me and John Bush did an amazing job given 2 weeks notice. Definitely the best band on Saturday by some margin.

Was fantastic :D Shame no Madhouse though :(

I had a lovely view of the big screen whilst eating sausage and chips too :D
 
The whole of "Among The Living", just a great album.

Don't forget "I Am The Man!", the first thrashed out rap song ever.

"I Am The Law", the theme for Judge Dredd.

Great band. :)
