Hmmm, just failed my MOT on.....front nearside and offside wishbones. They want to charge me £45 each supply and fit. Car is a 5 year old Corsa. Sound about right to you guys?

Price, yes, but what are they broken or something? Normally it might be the rubber bushes in the ends perish or something but unless they aren't removeable I can't see whay they would need to change the whole things.

You are allowed to take the car away btw for repairs afaik it does not have to be that particular garage, and im not so sure if there allowed to use their discretion. Also that price sounds ok to me, it could have been worse.

I generally find that it often works out near the same to change the wishbone than the bushes and the labour involved in changing them. On the cheaper wishbones such as mondeo, escorts, astras etc anyway.
Price is about right.

its often much quicker to change the whole arm then faff around with individual bushes.

£45 parts and £45 labour

or

£30 parts and £70 labour

less hassle for the mechanic and less cost for the customer, everyone wins.

rear bushes are a different matter entirely.
