Literally 2 secs ago and WOW - absolutely awesome. Simply the best single player shooter ive ever ever played. Playing with headphones on and listening to the dramatic music towards the end is so immersive - also, it makes yanks look like loud mouth fools - which is never a bad thing lol. Captain price is brilliant and you gotta love the tash!

All in all a good solid 9.5/10 for me - wicked.

i was surprised after the credits there was another mission to play - saving the hostage on an aeroplane.... if you quit out of the credits do you still get to do this extra mission?

Yes. Well on 360 anyway :p

No it was not!

***SPOILER WARNING***

I just finished the game literally 2 minutes ago, oh my goodness, where to start.

I played it through on the hardest difficulty as I always do, spent about 80% of the time wishing I hadn't though. What a frustratingly difficult game, I've screamed, punched walls and been downright grumpy, but it was worth it.

A fantastically good ending. I have never felt so close to any character in a video game, when that Russian nob shot Gaz I so badly wanted to rip his left arm off and beat him with it. I had to make do with emptying that clip into him. Chin up, maybe Price made it. Who knows, maybe Gaz was exceptionally lucky too!

Great, great game. If only there were an amazing multi player component to extend the games life, oh wait.

Yes you do, just go to mission select. I was one of those impatient ones who always quit the credit...

Yeah the game is great, sp is way too short though... :p

However online game more or less makes up for it.

I just completed *** game too! - Literrally 2 minutes ago too!

Capt Pice... He is also supposed to the the one from COD1 and/or COD 2 wasnt he?

That guy must be 100 by now and still going strong? - Definitely eats his shreddies thats for sure.

I have to say, that this game has been such a massive change from BF2... It kind of makes B2 look like a crappy University colledge's animation project but they had 2 hours to do it in... This is just absolutly delicious to look at and play with.

At the end though... That gaz has been a rock all *** way through, as has Cap. Price, so to lose them like that, you kind of feel it dont you?

I dont know? it has really put a full-stop on the captain, but then...

I think I feel that the game was a little short, however, Im looking at the time and its just after 4am and I have done a marathon 3 day run on this game, so had I slowed down a little and limited myself, it would have lasted longer for sure.

Any release dates for COD 5 yet?

LOL

Wow - another one for the "finished 2 mins ago" camp :D

I loved it, I loved the way it played kinda like a movie, and not too bothered by the length, a lot of single player games I end up giving up half way through anyway (far cry anyone?)

Favourite level? the gunship one, just cos it's so cool - so I loved the credits sequence too :)

loved the way it made you care about the characters too... poor gaz

It was also the first game I've played in ages with all the eye candy up full (thanks to my new 8800GT) and WOW it looked sexy.

my only problem: I kept getting slow-downs in the loading screens with jumpy audio, anyone else get that? maybe I need to defrag.

To be fair, I ran it on full steam too, on a lot less than an 8800 and *** game itself was rock solid, but I too had the jerky loading screens. Small price to pay.
Audio was fine for me however.

FarCry? - LOL, no, I finished that one... Cant remember why, possibly just forcing myself to get my moneys worth I suppose, but I got bored of the game very early too, but again, the graphics were nice, but not much more.

Without a doubt the best single player fps for ages. (Havn't played through crysis yet though :X ) Sniper level is my favourite section in the game and is it just me or do the graphics take a step up during the sniper levels? Worst parts of the game were when you had to play as the Americans :D

is it just me or do the graphics take a step up during the sniper levels?

Definitely.

The dogs I still cant get over... My first encounter with them, was seeing one run straight for me through the scope... Im still reeling on that one cos it looked so bloody real. Ok, the part where its right in your face was a let down for it, but its still amazing.

Im still undecided as to my favourite levels - Snipers have got to be there, but I also liked the airplane one too... Especially the commentary... Sweet.

Loved every second, can't wait for some kind of expansion pack to add some new misisons, graphics were fantastic throughout and you don't need a NASA spec PC to run it.

Makes Crysis look like it was coded by kids.

rofl, you are kidding, right?

I sort of agree with ManCuBus, They spent so long updating the graphics and physics that they forgot to write a good story. They must just have a set of drop down boxes to pick location/enemy/2nd enemy for their games:

Location, pick one of: Island/City/Desert
1st Enemy: Mercenaries/Army/Aliens/Zombies
2nd Enemy: Mercenaries/Army/Mutants/Aliens

Can't they come up with a story that doesn't revolve around going to an island where you think someone is your enemy when actually it is something else.

Anyway, COD may be short, it may not have the DX10 stuff, but the story and atmosphere are perfect.

I would say it answers the request of most people: gameplay over graphics advancement.

Tis only the second game in about 5 years that I have been enthusiastic to complete (the other being Farenheit).
