Okay, it was only on normal difficulty, but it took a while, and I feel smug!

As an aside, you really do have to have a fast PC for that game!

Went to a friends this PM and saw him playing Crysis on a 2 year old PC with 6800 GFX card in it on 12x10 res!

Ouch, looked pants, and rough!

I reckon games makers really do need to optimise their games better for people who don't have cash to splash on very high end kit!

Anyway, still feeling smug, UT3 next

I will be buying the game tommorow,Been playing the demo and love it :-)
I can play the game on high settings which i think is ok,With a FPS of about 35

My spec is
AMD 64 x2 6000
BFG geforce 800GT oc2 512mb
2gb Corsair
view sonic 22"

Jungle-playable on high
Ice- unplayable on high, a slideshow. Also slideshow on the carrier/boss

ATI X1900XTX, overclocked, 4400x2 overclocked.

I'm fine with both on high, although there is the occasional slow down in ice.

Q6600@stock, 2900xt, 2gb

I got to the last level today and then the game crashed to desktop while loading it. (A bug which i thought was supposed to be fixed in 1.1, obviously not). I went rather emo and went to play WoW, probably finish off tomorrow :D

upgrade to version 1.1, i did and the ice was perfectly playable custom settings with HDR and stuff on 8800GTS

Gashman if i update that 1.1 patch will my 8800 GT be able to play high settings on the ICE level?

what resolution, dunno how big of a boost but it definately improved things for me beyond 'core', i mean even the big fights on the carrier were stutter free, used to stutter like hell, only way to play that before was medium settings, certainly no high textures, HDR and stuff, the 1.1 patch won't hurt performance

Did you not think this game would be crazily good if you could do the single player campaign coop with a buddy?

Its the kind of sneaky game where it would be so fun to have your mate sniping to cover you from on top of a hill while you sneak in and shoot the guards in the back when they look for him XD

The tank section is a nightmare!

Most it easier out of the tank sneaking and finding hidden rocket launchers!

Ice levels are very good until you get to the beasties with freeze rays, ouch!

An excellent game

Now that would be awesome :D

My system is now 3 yrs old, and crysis runs real smooth all the way through, but ive upgraded the cpu, mem, sound card and graphics card in that time, see in sig. Ive just ordered a ati 3870 card, so should run crysis faster at higher graphics then 2x AA, most settings on hight accept for 3 things and running in 1024x768. Hopefully get all the settings to high running at 1280x1024 with the ati 3870 card
