Just finished my first ever loop!

Hiya all.

Questions???

After finally completing my set up this morning. Ive been working on it for the last week or so getting all the parts etc I finally fired her up. Woo hoo she works and no leaks as yet to boot double woo hoo. So after checking all was ok I ran a quick session of IBT only for 5 loops on standard at stock speed of 3ghz. The max any core got to was 47 degrees as opposed to my H50 that used to get up around 55 at stock. So I was pleased but I was just wanting people opinions on this.

My loop is as follows

XSPC Res with Swiftech pump > Apogee GTZ > Dual Rad > GTX 280 > Dual Rad > RES/Pump.

It may seem a little extreme at the moment but I plan to introduce another GTX 280 or when funds allow watercool a pair of 470's.

So are the temps ok and do you think and can revert to my oc of 4ghz??

If the max temp 47 youll have no problems with temps at 4ghz

Congtrats on your first loop, but just a side note, if u plan to cool 2 gfx cards later, aswell as the cpu, u will need either another radiator into the loop, or replace the 240 with a bigger one, just a heads up for u.

I have 2 dual rads in this loop already. Are you saying I will need 3?

Well ive got her up to 3.8 solid as a rock on 1.3v and IBT maxes at 56 degrees after 20 loops. Im happy. Job done. Might be a different issue when I add a second gpu but for now happy days. Thats with all fans on low to so plenty of scope for some heavy duty cooling. Good stuff. I should have gone water years ago.
