Found this gem, photoshop gold in the day

Ok about 12 years plus ago said guy posts pic and asks to be cutout of background, or something similar.

At this time there were plenty that were happy to oblige, said person I think didn’t appreciate Overclockers best efforts.

Obviously Overclockers then went full throttle, then from no where his username was linked to different site. Well the **** hit the fan then and Overclockers history was made, one of the best threads ever.

That’s how I remember it.

The good ol' days when GD wasn't just a copy/paste of news articles and actually had some substance

It wasn't just GD, it was the internet in general. I think part of the reason is that the internet was far more a place for nerds and the socially awkward back in the 2000s, whereas it became a place for 'everyone' in the early 2010s. And even though those awkward people are still about on the internet en large, they've just been pushed deeper into other communities.

EDIT: that said, I do miss the days of some amazingly amusing threads by the likes of e.g. Angus Higgins and sam83UK or whatever his name was. I think the point is that they were unintentionally amusing, which made them better.

I recognise the pic but thats it.....

We have had some absolute epic threads.... The one where the guy tracked down his Ipad or phone after it got stolen. And was uploading pictures from the "wheres my droid ???)app on his device when the police caught up with the thief
