Okay I have just gone ahead and ordered my new camera.

I had the Nikon D3200

Now I will have the Nikon D7100

So my kit will have.

Nikon 50mm 1.8g
Tamron 70-300mm VC
Nikon 18-55mm stock lens from the D3200

I nearly did something similar.

I have a D5100 and thought about D7000/7100 upgrade.

Think I need to invest in lenses though as I don't think I get enough out of D5100 to justify the cost yet.

I managed to pick up the D7100 body for £853.99 inc VAT so not bad deal.

I would def say get a prime lens like 50mm 1.8g or like most advise 35mm 1.8g.

My Tamron 70-300mm VC came 3 days prior to my Nikon 50mm 1.8G and when i swapped it over to the 50mm i was just amazed at the quality and that was with my D3200!

Can't wait for the D7100 to arrive that will show some more improvements in picture quality and performance.

I have a 35mm 1.8 and the 18-55mm kit lens.

Ordered some macro filters and am going to have a go with those at the weekend.

I have yet to get a telephoto lens and am wondering what to go for.

oh my oh my the D7100 arrived this morning and while i was thrown back a little by different menus and extra dials ect ect the picture quality really does come out better than the D3200 and speed of the D7100 is v good and i like the fact i can change ISO in smaller increments.
So much more control and well worth the extra cash.
