Just gone wireless, router intermittently disappearing?

Just set up the wireless in my house using the router provided by virgin and using a Netgear WG111T adapter with latest firmware.

Now, the adapter seems to find the router and connect, then 5 seconds later loses the connection and has to find it again. It keeps repeating this over and over, it's pot luck if it ever connects properly.

Sometimes it loses the router all together and doesn't find it for a few minutes. It's as if the router is going on and off intermittently.

When it does find it, signal strength is at ~40% (between 24mbps and 48mbps), or 2 bars on the virgin wireless manager.

Any ideas?

Sounds like windows zero config is interupting or the netgear software is tryin to kick in.

what OS are you on ?

Windows XP service pack 3.

*EDIT* - Just read up quickly on WZC, went into admin tools > services and it's already disabled.

Well, I enabled wzc and set that as the default wireless manager instead of the netgear software and it seems to have solved the problem.
