I run a wireless network in the home I didnt get a wireless adapter for the console so the only way I could get LIVE access would be to connect through ethernet to my PC now I tried this and It wouldnt work. I installed the software on my pc and now I cant get net access on the PC wirelessly!
The connection is fine for all the other computers in the house. My connection looks fine in network connections dialog.
Also do I have to buy the official xbox wireless adapter or can I use any USB adapter?

Come on Crunchy even I know thats not true! ;)

You can use a wireless bridge and connect the 360 to is using an ethernet cable, these are cheaper but not as pretty a solution as the official MS adaptor

Well you can't use a USB dongle to connect to your wireless network, which is what I thought he was asking about.;)

The official USB adaptor is quite literally plug and play and attaches nicely to the back of your console and I've not heard of anyone having problems setting it up opposed to using an ethernet bridge. :)

I did mean a normal usb dongle sorry for the confusion. suppose i will have to just sort my internet connection sharing out.

Do you guys think It's worth changing my OS to media center?
