Just got a free PS3 with a mobile contract!

Ahhha, another oppotunity to scam link. Use someone elses details, get it delivered, phone later blocked but you have a free ps3. :eek:

Did you get the Ps3 instantly or have to wait a number of days?

Get Motorstorm if you like fun arcadey racers, get Tekken if you like Fighters, get Resistance if you like FPS's and get that Duck game for your mrs (mines hooked to it)


Just download all the demo's from the PS Store and see what you like mate, have fun! :D

That's pretty good, others I saw make you wait 28 days until you get your first bill before they ship the PS3.

Shh... don't tell them... companies like that rely on the insanely gullible. If you tell them the PS3 isn't actually free by any stretch of the imagination then they'll go out of business. ;)

I looked at something similar when my contract was up about 12 months ago but for a Xbox 360. Worked out it was a worst of money. Contract was £30 for 18 months and the free phones were all rubbish. Ended up getting a contract for £15 a month for 12 months with a free P990i instead. And used the money I saved to get a NTSC 360.

Haha indeed, im surprised that people actually take this offers up. Nothing in life is for free and im afraid to say that you really did get conned big time. I mean you do know you could have picked up a PS3 for a lot less than what you did??. Fair enough you didnt pay out-right for it but are paying it in installments of £45 for 18 mths....guess its an easier way of getting credit really as the payments are spread out over 18 mths but christ £810 for a console??. Imagine if your bills were higher than £45 per month...works out even more expensive.

Oh well more fool you mate...

OP could you downgrade to a lower monthly payment after a few month?

I love the way you all think I was had.

I currently pay £50 a month for a contract that is worse than the one listed... I use my phone a lot! I will sell the phone that comes with the deal because the phone I already have is much better. So for me £45 a month is better than I am currently paying and I get a free PS3... so yes it is free for me as I would be spending £50 a month anyway.
 
Insane, I would hate to be paying that much per month for a personal mobile contract, regardless of your 'free' (lol) PS3. Also 18 months, 12 is bad enough :eek:

If it really works out as a good deal for you then fair enough, but still :/
 
£810, lets say deduct £400 for the PS3 so you're left with £410.

£410 / 18 = £23/month for 900 mins and unlimited texts.

Ok i don't regard the PS3 as free, but then if you deduct the cost of a ps3 hes actually getting quite a good contract so i wouldn't say hes being ripped off, hes just not getting as good a deal as he claims at first.
 
i just renewed my orange contract i'm on £45 a month thats good for me before ppl start us eto be around 100 mark anyway. my new contract is 18 months if i'd seen this would have gone with them it would have been free for me in a manor of speaking .

old contract

orange
£60 400 text 600 minutes 18 months
usual ended up being £120 =1440

new contract
£45 unlimited text 600 minutes 18 months
probably end up around £60= 1084

so playstion would have been free and phone bill cheaper damn :(
