Just got a portable hard drive

Hi all

Just got it in the post (Seagate Expansion) and I thought it had encryption built in... but it doesn't!

So I have two questions;

1) What's the easiest way I can install encryption on it (i.e. type a password onto any pc it gets plugged into)? (I'm on Windows 8.1 if that helps)

2) What software is best for syncing folders/files?

I'm doing a Google now, but anyone who can chip in would be appreciated!

Pretty sure Seagate will offer some sort of solution for this. Have a look at the link below.

Think that's referring to actual drives specific for encryption rather than software that deals with it.

I'll have a go at number 1;

DiskCryptor can be installed on your pc and then you'll have to mount the drive with your password every time you connect it.

Personally I am still using TrueCrypt, but the weird announcements and stuff may have put most people off.
