just got a PS3

bought it off the MM, arrived today.
rigged upto my toshiba 37wlt68 though component and to my A/V set-up via digital optical.
it's fantastic, i get 720p though component(highest res for my telly) looks awesome, and sounds just excellent through the rest of my kit.
got it with motorstorm and RFOM.
i've just got back from work and rigged it all up, had a quick go and my boys are having a blast with MS right now.

You'll find that Motorstorm is easily the best launch title for it. Online it is hilarious, especially when you start targeting individual players and knocking them off their bikes - Class!

Get it hooked up to the net, some good system updates came out for it since the NA launch. I think you and the kids would love the Tekken 5 multiplayer too, it's only 6 quid on the PSN (maybe less, my memory is hazy)
