Just got a Silverstone LC10M

I'll try and run through my build of this with you lot and give my views of the Media Module when I get there.

I'm planning on using a gigabyte nf2 with a 2500xp-m, 512mb Corsair and a radeon 9550. At the mo dunno which psu or drives I'm going to use.

I've sort of got this window of two weeks to rebuild all the machines in the pic below and my brothers. The family are away and I need to get all the hardware matched properly and given to the right people by the time they get back.
Anyway I'll not go into all that as I'll be here forever.

So the pc in my sig will go with a new abit crossfire mobo into the Xaser once the contents of the Xaser are in the Silverstone.

Ok cheers, will bear the drives in mind when I get going, I've yet to do anything with it except look at it and ponder quite how I want to set it up
I had planned to start this morning, but a mate came round with his pc so he could rebuild his at the same time but his mobo died before we got to do anything so I've spent hours on that.

Also I want to have some kind of control over my fans but there is not much of an option for that at the moment.

Have just found out that I never even changed the NB cooler on the mobo and it's been working fine, I got that board when the Bartons came out
Anyway I have a Zalman or two to hand.

Cables are going to be an issue, will have to see if I can find some spiral wrap in the loft.

Well after a number of delays the unit is now powered and windows is going on there as I type.
The fitting of the dvd drive didn't go too well and thats something I would consider a weak point on this case.

My drive may be one of those that isn't "compatable" but the drive eject button on the case is poorly designed, moving my drive up to the button a bit more may help.
I decided that getting the button to work was more important than getting the door flush so ATM the door sits proud of the front of the case by about 5mm.

For the moment I've just added my system disk and when reinstalling the cage I nearly had a problem but luckily stopped when I felt some resistance

So the last pic is it ready to power up which I did, I ended up fitting a 120mm amber to the support bar, blowing down over the heatsink.

I'll do some shots of the vfd and software when they are setup.

Personally the noise does not bother me unlike the fish tank nexk to the sofa with the pump running! But unfortunately, my fish like to breath, so i have to leave it on!

Noise is an issue with mine also I must say though, there are very few cases around that are quiet straight out of the box.
The LC10M has a 92mm front intake and two 60mm rear exhausts which all shift a lot of air but are too loud for an HTPC.

The reason I have yet to finish the pc and this thread is because it's sat here not getting much use until I decide on what silencing mods to do.
The build quality of the case is fine though, very good if you consider that it is at the lower end of the range
