well just had a nice afternoon, well not so nice with a Viewsonic 24" 3D LED Monitor V3D245.
Plugged it in dvi to pc and about 5 or 10mins in the menu of the monitor kept flickering on and off on and off all the time in windows in games. So i disconnected the monitor from the pc, i plugged the free sat box into the HDMI socket of the monitor it was doing the same. Picture is fine, as built in speakers there working fine, its just the monitor option menu keeps on flickering on and off. Theres is no way i can see of stopping it.
I can't even get to the menu options to check them out.
As anyone else had a fault like this with this brand of monitor or any other brand.

I have come across similar issues to this before on occasion. I think you just got unlucky - it's the sign of a faulty monitor. If you like the V3D245 when it's working then don't be put off this model or ViewSonic as a whole. They are generally pretty reliable and it can happen to models from any manufacturer. Some monitors decide to pop up their OSD if the signal is being reset rapidly and this only tends to happen if something has gone wrong on the monitor or GPU. As you tested with a Freesat box I think we can narrow it down to the monitor. I assume the cables are tightly connected?

yep all cables are tightly connected, i did a run of the monitor around 8pm late last night with the free sat box again no other cables plugged in other than the power, and after 5 to 10mins the fault popped up, the OSD just randomly flickering on and off. And i tried it again this morning same happened again. I only paid for it other day 13th so its RMA back to company time.

Well the company got the monitor back today, they also checked it and found the same fault so i got a refund, all that needs to be done is double check my credit card bill when it comes and i'll be happy. And i think it was a good thing i got that fault come to think of it the picture had a greenish tint to the picture. I may have been able to fix that changing the colour settings in the OSD but never got the chance, any how i'm in the market for a 3D monitor in the new year. Not the viewsonic V3D245.
