Hi all, just got an A6600 with a Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens for live steaming but I want to use the camera for wildlife snaps and also when I go bird watching.

I’m new to cameras and whatnot so ideally guess my budget would be around £500, not sure if I could get something decent for that price? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Have a look on MPB or somewhere else for a long FE/E-mount focal length to get more for your money :) I'm having trouble loading it at the moment but there's a Tamron 70-300 around that budget under used Sony lenses.

Here it is: https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/used-equi...on-70-300mm-f-4-5-6-3-di-iii-rxd-sony-fe-fit/

There's also the Sony's own make version with optical image stabilisation for £600+to compare and consider:

Finally, if you can stretch to £729 you could try the Sigma 100-400mm DG DN from Wex used:

I use the Sony E 70-350mm F4.5-6.3 G OSS Lens (SEL70350G) with my a6600 and it's a superb lens. Because of the x1.5 crop factor, you're actually getting 105 to 525mm focal length. It's also got stabilisation which works in conjunction with the IBIS in the a6600.

I bought mine October 2020 for £669 on e-infinity and they're now selling it at £589. Excellent lens and not too big either.
