Hey, Just got an 80gig Ipod classic (so I can watch tv episodes on my commute to work).
Charging through USB means the backlight stays on...is there anyway to turn this option off other than putting the backlight off completely?
Also, can you not use the ipod while it's plugged into USB? On my old ipod, i'd sit in the dock and listen to music while it was charging.
There is also no charge progress bar... it just has some symbol in the battery on the top right, when I disconnect it the battery appears full (even though it clearly isn't).
Also, i've been using it for a day, and a few minutes ago it started telling me it needed to be reformatted for windows... it's been working fine, so why is it asking now? Why didn't it ask me to do it when i first plugged it in... argh
cheers
