just got broadband

just got broaband at me flat from pipex £25 a month and they said i could recieve up to 2mb on the checks and im only getting 1.1mb, im not paying 25 quid a month for that!

what can i do ?

Test Your connection here:
http://www.dslzoneuk.net/maxspeed.php
Then you will have some idea of your potential speed
If they feed you a load of crap then move
www.idnet.co.uk are reliable and have almost instant support

If you post your line stats we'll give you an idea of what the maximum speed you can get is.

The key words are "up to 2Mbps"

Depends on how far you are from the exchange and the quality of line. It is sold as up to 2 meg so you get whatever your line allows.

How far away from your local exchange are you? That might help to give an idea.

Do you have any access to any line diagnostics (less likely if your using a USB modem)? If so then post your Attenuation and SNR ratings.

Ring pipex and get them to check your on the correct line speed if your confident you can recieve 2mb.
