Hey.

I just bought GT Legends off the bay, i just couldnt wait any longer!

I know i havemt got a wheel or anything, but i will be playing it with a pad, (seems good with a pad on the demo)

If i do start to get into it i will buy a wheel.

Just a question, can you play this game online? If you can, do you need to pay, or is it free to play online?

Thanks

Yeh you can play online, its free to do, you just need to register with a name and your email addy.
Online is great when you find a server not full of smacktards. :D
Had some great races earlier and last night, yet other than that the last week has been lame.

"Smacktards" huh?

Lol the funnies saying has got to be "Teabag" on BF2.

Lol, a friend described it to me, and omg was it funny :)

BTW, do you think it will be hard for me to play with a pad?

You'll get used to it as long as you practice, but you'll be at a disadvantage in some areas like steering and throttle control methinks, but it is still possible to get very good lap times and be competitive, as some people do it, just with lots of praccy.

Yea, i understand what you mean about the thorrtle and control.

Ive being playing the demo and it seems pretty easy with a pad, im really enojoying it.

Although, i keep spinning off the sharp corners, you really have to come to a stop to turn the corner.

You mean like an xbox pad??

Indeed :) You can control analogue steering and thottle extremely well with such a pad, at least as good as a wheel and pedals and arguably better, which isn't as ridiculous as it may sound.

Any idea how much i could pick an xbox pad up for? With the converter adapter.

Cheers

Buy an Xbox 360 corded pad. They're USB, and will work normally.

Else, go for an Xbox Controller-S, but most people now prefer the 360 pad over them, but the triggers are a bit of a short throw, and a a bit smaller than the older pad.

Im looking at an xbox s pad, not an official one.... But will it still work with pc?

The Xbox S-controller will work with a PC only with a 3rd party converter, such as the 'Super Joy Box' (google it - you'll find them for sale on ebay if nowhere else) which I use. Use in conjunction with the XBCD drivers - it needs a bit of setting up but once done, the analogue stick and triggers work perfectly, and with no lag.

Or just get a 360 pad :p The XBCD drivers are still apparently the best though.

I cant afford a 360 pad, but if i just bought a cheap x-box pad, and buy the converter lead when i get more money, any idea how much one would cost me?

You can't afford £17.99? I imagine a used S-controller plus the converter would cost nearly that anyway? :) I got my Xbox pad with my Xbox so I don't know what they go for used, but the converter was about £6 off ebay IIRC.
