How can you not use AA? no AA vs 8xAA is night and day...
I've been playing since the C64/NES, and I can tell you now it doesn't stop me using all the eyecandy I can get.
I just don't see why you wouldn't... I mean with todays cards you can run anything with 2xAA and have pretty much zero performance hit...
High end cards can do 4xAA without batting an eyelid, and my 8800 I have 8x permanently set to on and i'm yet to find a game that it doesn't chew through...
Pure madness to run no AA at all.
Well, because graphics don't really mean all that much to me. Frame-rate yes, polygons count, texture quality, AA, no.
Hell, I just played Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 and loved every minute of it.
Personally, I think that if there were as many gameplay innovations as there were new versions of DirectX, gaming would be a whole lot better

But looking at what's been released recently, mostly it's better graphics, better graphics, better graphics.
It's probably as a reaction to this that I've stopped caring about graphics. But then I'm also hugely cynical at times too

I'd love to see better AI, better story-telling, better (deeper) gameplay and all that jazz.
And then, just to reaffirm my status as a big hypocrite, I'll be buying a new DX10 card when the mid-range gets released

So don't take anything I saw too seriously
