Just got my laptop back...What Software?

Hi,
I've just got my laptop back from repair. Excellent service by the way, sent back to a competitor on Monday and got it back yesterday, which I couldn't quite believe. It's had a new CD Drive fitted and they've sorted out Media Centre which is ideal.

Basically I've got a blank canvas to work on. What software should I install? What do you think are the most vital things that I should have. I already have NOD32, installed that the second I got the thing back!

i'd basically uninstlal anything thats already on the laptop that is not a hotfix or a driver first

firefox with adblock plus and filterset g is a must also

eac for your mp3 needs

media player classic, with ffdshow, ac3filter, real alternative, quicktime alternative, Dscaler (dvd playback and corevorbis descaler

or just VLC.
i use winamp for mp3s
ff
ie7 (ms sites seem to have some kind of lets screw FF users script i swear)

he's got Media Centre, so will need the filters
