Just got my new computer!

After selling my Macbook last week and then ordering a new PC after, I finally got it today.

As soon as I got it, I built it. Spec is:

Antec P182
E2180
2GB 6400 Crosair
520w Crosair
250GB Seagate 7200
8800GT

First time building a complete computer and everything went fine, though I thought there would have been something to put between CPU + Stock heatsink?

Sitting at stock the temps were around 20c. O/C'd it straight away to 3GHz on 1.35 volts and the temps are now 25c idle, and thats with the stock heatsink! :p

Well chuffed so far!
 
Put another 15 deg on those temps.

Try coretemp for temps as you're probably using the software that came with the motherboard which in most cases is incorrect.

Glad you're happy though, it's a great feeling when a build goes to plan :)

What's load temps (with coretemp).

I was using Speedfan for the temps.

Although watch for instability problems with the CROSAIR gear. Cheap chinese copies :D:D:D
 
Depends what version of speedfan your using, does seem very low though. What value Tjunction is it saying ? 85 or 100 ?
 
For some reason when I run coretemp fan it says the driver has failed to load? Tried restarting.

Where do i find tjunction?

The latest speedfan BETA has the same temps as coretemp (before it was 15 deg out for me too) so a simple update will solve this :p
 
Sitting at 30c idle now with speedfan, but I've all the fans down low now so there is no noise.
 
Got coretemp working. Sitting at 30c idle when at lowest fans at 3ghz, goes down to 27c when fans are going fast. :)
