I got my new Power Supply and a Graphics Card today. Corsair HX 520w Modular PSU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-005-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 and EVGA GeForce 8800GT 512mb GDDR3 KO Overclocked http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-044-EA&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1008

All I can say at the moment is: WOW!

This is truly amazing! After I installed the new drivers for this card and restarted computer few times, I opened Windows Vista score window. My old graphics card was GeForce 8500GT and the score I had was 5.3. With this card I have the max score that Vista shows - 5.9! Then, I turned Call of Duty 4 and Fraps (FPS measurer). Went to "Options" to turn all the options on the maximum but suprisingly it was already automatically turned on. 4x AA and all the other effects on. Textures - EXTRA (the best one)! So I joined a random server with quite many people on. Everything maxed out and what about FPS? 91 FPS! Yes... 91 not gone lower than 85. And the highest was 93 but average was 91 FPS. Beautiful graphics and great FPS! I am really, really happy with this new graphics card and power supply. If anyone else is looking for a new upgrade - way to go! ;)

3DMark06 score - 11321

Gonna download and test new 3DMark Vantage tomorrow... :)

Hahaha nice one m8y. Great news.

Bring console down (press the key underneath the escape key) and type this: /com_maxfps 250

Your FPS are locked at 91 FPS with the Call of Duty series (same on CoD1 and 2).

Happy gaming with your monster :).

i just got a 512mb 8800GT and its one of the best cards for the money! cant go wrong! :D

Call of Duty is beautifully coded though. Stick Rainbow 6 vegas on to to see how well idiots can waste your card[1], Then run Crysis if you need something to remove your grin. Wiped the smile off my gob like a slice of lemon.
Still, it VERRRRY nice when stuff that always been sort of problematical and stroppy, suddenly starts to FLY along.

[1] Maybe it just doesn't work on Asus boards (or for me LOL ), cos I went from an AMD with 4GB of DDR2 to an Intel with 2GB of DDR3, and it stank equally in borh, and that was with an 8800GTX.

I just typed this command into console in Call of Duty 4 "/com_maxfps 250" and now I can get FPS up to 250! Average of FPS now is around 110. Amazing... :D

The 8500GT is a good card for the money but if you can afford the 8800 series, it is certainly worth it, as you proved :)
