hi guys

before u shout CHILD KILLER!!!!!oneone, i've been driving since 1995, never pull over by cop or caught speeding etc. i ALWAYS stick on road work speed limits on any roads.

motor vehicle : XX52XXX Make/Model FORD FOCUS ZETEC
for the offence of : EXCEED 30MPH - RESTRICTED ROAD (ACD)
at :16:25 hours on 18/09/2008
at a speed of : 40MPH
at location : TOWNSEND AVENUE (NORTHBOUND), LIVERPOOL L11

does ACD means road work? if so, i drive on this road every day after work, i'm pretty sure this road speed limit is 40mph, i never ever seen any road work on this road.

also there is NO speed camera anywhere on this road, i know this road very well.

any advice?

cheers :)

First thing to do is find out if it is a 40mph limit or not. Its its not then you will have to bite the bullet.

If its a 40 and its a built up area it will have 40mph signs at intervals along the roadside.

ok thanks guys, is there any website that tell you what's the speed limit on road? i searched on google but its comes up GPS speed limit for tomtom etc

thanks

also, why the paper used the word of restricted? what does that means?

If you drive on it every day after work.

Then check the limit tonight while doing 30mph ;)

I would have thought restricted meant a temporary speed restriction such as roadworks. Otherwise its not a restriction is it?
