Just a quick message.. nothing important.. but me dad has got me a laptop which is nice and didnt expect,

its:

intel centrino duo 1.8ghz
1gb memory
100gb hdd
dvdrw

has stuff for sd cards and stuff
bluetooth
wireless
loads of extra ports
webcam
apparently some HD widescreen.. mide just be spin that though.

well happy, faster than i expected too.

think it was 799 or 899

Those Yonah's are pretty good from what I hear. Is it possible to overclock a laptop CPU?

i dont think it would be a good idea to overclock, probably set alight or something

You can OC them sometimes, I would make sure the temps are low at stock though and wouldnt try for more than a few 100mhz extra

Speedfan should work, or everest ultimate. As long as it has sensors that is, not all of them do.

crack an egg on it

if it cooks, the laptop might be too hot

other than that, check in the BIOS, or MotherBoardMonitor should do the trick

the hdd is 49C

and the overall temp is 39C

is this good for a laptop?

ive had it on since 10 now on the mains
